The History of Kilbirnie Place - Part 2. South Side, Walled Gardens and Grand Avenue

Kilbirnie Castle, commonly called the 'Place' was built in two phases, first a keep and later a mansion, mainly by the Crawford family, Earls of Crawford, of Lindsay, etc. The 'Pleasure Gardens' consisted of a 'Grand Avenue', Walled Gardens, etc.
